4.2 1.  What is a shape rule ?

4.2 2.  What is a derivation ?

    4.2 3.  What is a grammar ?

Rules can be organized in systems called shape grammars. Grammars are computational devices that generate
sets of designs with particular spatial or other properties called design languages. A terminated computation that
yields shapes C, C1, C2,…Cn within a specific shape grammar is a proof within that grammar.
